Registering for the SVI

Selection of candidates is based on previous academic records, professional experience, letters of recommendation, and statements of professional goals. NOTE: A minimum enrollment is required for us to be able to offer the SVI program; therefore qualified applicants are strongly urged to submit items 1, 2, and 5 below early (Jan. 1 – March 15) for planning purposes. The deadline for applications is March 15, although applications may be accepted up to May 1 if space permits.

An application packet for the Summer Vocology Institute must include the following:

  1. A completed admission form, available in pdf or Word format;

  2. A resume with relevant educational and professional experience. Any professional honors, publications or presentations should be noted;

  3. A transcript from your most recent degree program;

  4. Three letters of recommendation. These may be sent under separate cover;

  5. A statement of past experiences and professional goals. Although the format will vary from individual to individual, these personal statements should include summaries of previous professional and educational experiences that were of a concentrated nature similar to the SVI as well as a description of how the SVI will facilitate attainment of future goals.
