The principal site of the NCVS is located at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts . Founded by DCPA Chairman Donald R. Seawell and the late Wilbur James Gould, M.D., this unique voice research and clinical care facility is the only center of its kind in the world which is a division of a major performing arts organization. The NCVS is directed by Ingo R. Titze, Ph.D., who divides his time between the Colorado and Iowa sites. The NCVS is housed in a new facility on top of the historic Denver Tramway Building located at the corner of 13th and Arapahoe. (Map)

Iowa

The Iowa site of the NCVS is within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Iowa, the discipline's oldest and one of the largest programs, training students and serving clients with speech, language, and hearing disorders for more than 60 years. U.S. News and World Report again ranked Iowa as the #1 graduate program in speech-language pathology and #2 in audiology. Although the numbers vary from year to year, the department's student population is comprised of approximately 25 doctoral, 50 master's, and 175 undergraduate students. (Map)
